Hi all,
Just looking through youtube...anyone else happen to
notice that within all of the "Explosive letterbox"
videos, someone has posted videos of their
letterboxing trips in Rhode Island (Which is neither a
road nor an island)? Just search letterbox and search
through the pages. Discuss amongst yourselves.

I have tried to find the video you are talking about but I can't. All the
letterbox stuff is about mail boxes. And when I search for just rhode
island I can't find it either (there are 1101 results for Rhode island so
that could be why!).
If you have the link to the exact one you are talking about I'd love to see
it, given I am a letterboxer who indeed does live in Rhode Island. So I'd
love to see it.
(BTW.. there is an actual island named Rhode. The Indians called the
island, on which Newport now is, Aquidneck, but the early settlers called it
Rhode Island because of a name that had actually been given to Block Island
, confused yet?. The real name of our state is Rhode Island and Providence
Planations.)

Here's the site. If you do a search for "letterboxing", then go to page 2,
it's the first video.
I like the guy's remark to the girl (who's obviously much more into
letterboxing than he is)
"Can we not, like, do this every day of your vacation?"

WOW! That was horrible. It was like Blair Witch meets
letterboxing. The only thing I got out of that 10 minutes was motion
sick. Ugh.
I'm not sure I'd be happy about this being posted if I were the
placer of the first box being that the location was given away. But,
I suppose you'd have to have the clues to know where it was
exactly. Either way, I definitely do not want footage of my boxes
being posted online in that manner.
I'd be much more satisfied if someone HAD rolled down the
hill. LOL. But, maybe I just want company in my
letterboxing-suffering as I'm still sore from the wipe out I took on
Saturday. Misery loves company, right?
I can't believe they couldn't find a better 10 minutes to film! And
ditch the songs! I'd rather hear them chattering about where they're
going and working through the clues than some schmaltzy song.

Why, exactly, did they tape themselves at the box? And the
background music-again, why? Very odd.
And, am I the only one who plugged "letterbox" into the search
engine, and watched the computer animated German Miami-Vice-ish
movie? Am I the only one who wonders if it is a letterbox clue?
Am I the only one who is now considering making a movie with a clue
on YouTube? ;)

Hey, why not?
My letterboxing sister put a series of videos together for me as a hunt for
my Easter basket one year. She handed me a videotape. When I played it, it
was a clue to a hiding spot. When I found the spot, another tape was
waiting. That clue held the clue to the next hiding spot. At the end of
the sixth clue was my Easter basket. I told her that after all that work,
there had better be nothing but chocolate in that basket. Chocolate and
peeps. And that the ears were going first. (She always hates it when I do
the ears first -- she's a feet first bunnyeater.)
